IAVT at NPUST's 101st Anniversary: Securing Another 1st Place in the Opening Parade
Immersed in the joyous atmosphere of the 101st anniversary of National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) under the theme “Centennial Foundation +1: Stepping into Innovation” this past November 2025, the International Degree Program in Animal Vaccine Technology (IAVT) once again left a profound mark on the university’s grand celebrations.
Once Again Securing First Place at the Opening Parade
A very special moment for IAVT this year was our participation in the athletic meet’s opening parade, where our students and faculty were honored with 1st Place for the second year in a row. By showcasing our teamwork and the creative spirit of our field, the IAVT contingent added a lively atmosphere to the stadium. We are deeply grateful for this recognition, which reflects the continued dedication, unity, and positive energy of our entire department.
Hands-On Science at the IAVT Booth
Beyond the lively parade, IAVT also brought a highly interactive and academic atmosphere to the university’s vibrant fun fair. Building on last year’s success, our booth continued to be a major attraction, drawing large crowds with engaging hands-on experiences.
Rather than just observing, visitors were invited to participate directly in simulated processes, such as capping and labeling vaccine bottles. This interactive setup not only showcased the technical expertise of our students but also educated the public on essential veterinary practices. Our “science photo booth”—where attendees could try on professional white lab coats and pose with laboratory equipment—was exceptionally popular, bringing smiles and unforgettable memories to all who participated.
IAVT Faculty and Students at the NPUST Campus Run
Showcasing our department’s spirit outside of the academic setting, staff and students from IAVT eagerly laced up their running shoes to join the energetic campus-wide run. Running through our university’s beautiful and expansive green landscapes, the IAVT team demonstrated that our dedication goes beyond the laboratory. The run was a fantastic display of health, endurance, and department solidarity, providing a refreshing and invigorating experience for everyone involved.
Connecting Communities, Looking to the Future
The NPUST 101st anniversary was not just a time to reflect on history, but a fantastic platform for IAVT to bring our program closer to the community. Through these dynamic activities, from the exhibition booth to the running track, our department members had the opportunity to bond, share our pride, and inspire future students.
The overwhelmingly positive feedback from visitors is a tremendous motivation for IAVT to continue our journey in education, research, and collaboration, making ongoing contributions to the veterinary field and the sustainable future of NPUST!
